Openstreetmap
I have played around with the Java offline editor for Openstreetmap data,
josm, and here's some of the
results:
- SplitWay - A method that lets you split a way at a selected
node. Accepted into the core by Imi.
- MarkerLayer - A new layer type that imports waypoints from
gpx files and displays their "name" attributes. Plans exist to extend this
to a proper multimedia layer that can hold various objects. A basic version
is now part of the core.
- LiveGPS Plugin - A plugin that introduces
a new type of "live GPS" layer which is continuously updated from a gpsd,
with a basic GPS status display and optional auto-centering. All other
josm functionality is untouched, i.e. you can add nodes and segments while
the map is moving. If you can.
Version 0.1 (hard-coded gpsd address at localhost:2947, probably lots of bugs) JAR, source tgz
- YWMS - A Perl script that makes Yahoo! satellite imagery
available as if it were a WMS server, thus enabling the josm "wmsplugin"
plugin to load Yahoo! satellite images. Very slow (15 seconds per image).
Version 0.1 (Perl and Linux required, HOWTO file included, not suitable for beginners ;-) source tgz
